Spring is finally here!
Being a spring baby myself, I must say that even though summer is my all time favorite season, spring is when I feel like I come alive again. After dragging myself through the grayish and sad winter, after spending each and every moment possible cooped up inside the house and cuddled up under many fluffy blankets with the fireplace on, just waiting for the dreadful cold days to pass, now I can finally say I’m happy again. And no, don’t get me wrong, I do love a nice evening in reading a good book, but now its time to get myself out and savor the new season!
Yes indeed, spring is something else entirely! It’s when nature blossoms, it’s when the sun starts shinning more and more, when days get longer and warmer, it’s that wonderful time of the year when social media gets flooded with photos and whatnot of flowers and nature, one more beautiful than the other.
So with this thought in mind, I set out in search of the perfect place for a spring photo. Needles to say how happy I felt when I found out one of my friends has the most magnificent magnolia trees in her garden, so I decided to head over there and try to take some equally magnificent photos of said trees.
I arrived there full of hope, inspiration and joy and set up my gear, by which I mean iPhone on a tripod 😉 , and dove right in to taking so many photos that even my phone battery died sooner than expected.
The result was amazing, at least for me it was, plus on the happy side, I got to spend the day and gossip about life with a dear friend.
So I wish you all a very flowery spring and I leave you with my favorite quote: “I must have flowers, always, always.” – Monet.
Sit back, relax and be beautiful! XOXO Cristina
